Addison Rae Set to Release Her Debut Album 'Addison' in June
Addison Rae is ready to step into the music world, announcing her debut studio album called Addison. After a string of singles throughout 2024 and early 2025 that have showcased her changing artistry, Rae has now set an official release date of June 6 for her highly anticipated project. The revelation was made in a very emotional yet adorable Instagram post on April 23, where she not only revealed the release date but also got candid about feelings associated with the album; calling it a "mirror" of her experience and the "deep desperation and desire" to know herself as she sometimes is. To this excitement, she says, this collection is her "proudest work yet," "featuring dream collaborations she has long aspired to achieve".

The Visual Aesthetic and Tracklist Highlights
In contrast to many current pop trends, Rae has embraced a vibrant early 2000s aesthetic for her album cover. Draped in sheer tulle and glancing back at the camera, Rae presents a nostalgic yet modern image, with the album title elegantly displayed in soft blue lettering. Above all, the tracklist promises an exciting blend of previously released hits and fresh new material. Fans will recognize her breakout single “Diet Pepsi” among the featured songs, alongside tracks such as “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” and her latest release, “Headphones On,” which dropped on April 18. In contrast to her earlier works, this album seems poised to establish Rae as a serious contender in the pop music industry.
A Musical Journey Years in the Making
Yet, it was gradual yet strategic for Rae to become known as a genuine pop artist by becoming an internet sensation on TikTok. She had her first taste of musical talent in March 2021 by launching a debut single titled “Obsessed,” which made way for some early focus. Still, her EP in 2023 was called AR and is often referred to as her real growth "spearheaded" by her "2 die 4 u" collaboration with Charli XCX. On the other side, this connection was deepened in 2024, when they met again for a remix of Charli's track Von Dutch, thereby forging Rae's further place as part of the pop world. Despite all the rushing fame, Rae remained humble as she often thought of acknowledged Charli as her big sister, just like she shared in a January cover article for Rolling Stone. Rae's upcoming album looks to be much more than just a musical landmark for Rae. It's a personal victory too.
