Barry Keoghan Deletes His Instagram Account Following Break-up with Sabrina Carpenter
Barry Keoghan is off social media after the breakup with his singer girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter. The account was abruptly changed on Saturday, December 7, to ‘Sorry, this page isn’t available.’ On December 7, fans who visited the profile of the 32-year-old actor on the social media platform were welcomed by the message.
The deactivation came just hours after Keoghan posted a string of gym selfies in his Instagram Story. Wearing a dark green tank top, he flexed his muscles. According to TMZ, he also shared behind-the-scenes photos with blonde hair, presumably from the set of his new movie Crime 101. Within hours of those posts, though, his account was no longer available.
Other Social Media Still Active
Although his Instagram account has been taken down, Keoghan's presence on other platforms remains. His X account (formerly Twitter) is still live, though his last activity there dates back to late November.
Breakup with Sabrina Carpenter Confirmed
Keoghan's Instagram exit comes weeks after news broke of his breakup with Carpenter, 25, on December 3. According to People, the former lovebirds called it quits after roughly a year of dating due to their hectic work commitments.
"They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break," an insider said.
A Timeline of Their Relationship
The pair first sparked dating rumors in late 2023 and made their relationship public at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in March. Keoghan even appeared in Carpenter’s music video for her hit single “Please Please Please,” from her album Short n’ Sweet.
The couple's fans believed their romance inspired several songs on the album, including "Bed Chem." On the track, Carpenter sings about meeting someone with a "white jacket" and a "thick accent," which many fans believe referred to Keoghan.
Keoghan on Sabrina: 'Pretty Special'
Keoghan spoke highly of Carpenter just last month during an appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, where he called her a "strong, independent lady" and a "massively talented" person, adding that she is "pretty special."
The split ends a romantic chapter, but Keoghan's decision to step back from Instagram hints at his desire for privacy during this period of personal change.
