Beyoncé Set to Attend Kamala Harris Rally in Houston

Beyoncé will reportedly attend Kamala Harris's rally today in Houston, Texas. She'll bring major star power to the Democratic candidate's event in the pop icon's hometown, according to a number of reports.

Beyoncé Hits the Campaign Trail

The Washington Post, CNN, ABC News, The Hollywood Reporter and NBC News can confirm that Beyoncé will be making an appearance at the event, but the location remains undisclosed. It is not yet clear if the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer will be taking the stage or addressing the crowd in any way, but she's expected to make an appearance when Harris gives one of her last speeches ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5.

Tina Knowles and Willie Nelson Among Confirmed Guests

While the exact nature of Beyoncé's role in the event is not fully detailed, the Democratic National Committee's announcement of the rally lists other celebrities who will be in attendance, including her mother, Tina Knowles, and country music icon Willie Nelson, with whom Cowboy Carter collaborated on his song. Both are scheduled to appear at the rally supporting Harris.

Beyoncé's Continuous Influence on Harris' Campaign

Although Beyoncé has not officially endorsed Harris this election cycle, Beyoncé's presence in Harris' campaign is without a doubt present. Rumors of her performing at the Democratic National Convention in August generated the most excitement from event organizers, but it did not happen. Her 2016 song "Freedom" also has been front-and-center for Harris' campaign, playing as the VP's walkout song in July. CNN reported Beyoncé personally signed off on its use.

Beyoncé's History of Political Support

Beyoncé has long demonstrated solidarity with political movements. She and Jay-Z performed in support of Hillary Clinton in 2016 and in 2020 she celebrated the win of Joe Biden on Instagram. Her possible appearance at Harris' would place her in good company with other artists set to support the VP's campaign this year, including Megan Thee Stallion, Bon Iver, Pink, Stevie Wonder, and more.

Tina Knowles for Kamala Harris

Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, has shown her support for Kamala Harris. She posted on Instagram a photo taken with the VP and spoke so highly of Harris as "New, Youthful, Sharp," calling on followers to support her using #kamala2024.
