6am in Morningside the first car rushes by
we walked down to the garden and the sunlight in your
eyes
stops me for a moment till I turn and look the other way
the windows are all open and it's Saturday
where I write the evening turns to blue and fades away
the silence hangs enchanted though the sunset and the
lanes
the air is charged with sunlight and your name is ringing
though my mind
cathedral bells have sung
this is the night
