Lana Del Rey Surprises Wembley Fans with Addison Rae Duet on 'Diet Pepsi'

After making music history tonight as the first official headlining act at the iconic Wembley Stadium, Lana Del Rey's fans are entering the night shaken only in the best possible way. Once she hit the stage for her anticipated performance, the venue burst with unmatched energy. As for this performance itself, it had special significance, as Del Rey was making history by headlining this iconic venue, but it very quickly became way more than that. Towards the end of the performance, Del Rey gave her audience a very special surprise, the first production of Venice Bitch live for this tour. But, if that wasn't enough, the guest DeeJay Del Rey brought on stage completely took the show to legendary status.

Addison Rae Joins Lana Del Rey Onstage for a Surprising Duet

In a shocking twist, internet superstar and up-and-coming pop star Addison Rae joined Lana Del Rey on stage for the performance of Venice Bitch. Of course, Rae didn't sing during the song, but her presence led to an immediate buzz throughout the crowd. However, that wasn't the biggest surprise, because shortly after, Lana brought Addison to the front of the stage, sounding just as ecstatic in front of the crowd, explaining just how happy she was to be singing the next song as she confessed her all-time love for Rae's hit single, Diet Pepsi. Their duet was completely unexpected and very sincere. Lana sang the first verse for the intro of the song, creating a surreal moment for fans who were witnessing this rare collaboration in person!

Sharing the Spotlight and Closing on a Nostalgic Note

Contrary to what many believed was a one-song guest spot, the duo extended the vibe by performing "57.5," a Lana Del Rey original. Right from their acknowledging the first strum until the end-of-song hug, the duo shared serious chemistry, and everyone watching loved every bit of it. To me, this moment signified some kind of artistic bridge between two different worlds of music (the ethereal melancholy of Lana versus the fresh pop of Addison) while circling back full night. In the meantime, with many on their feet dancing, Lana closed the night with her moving rendition of John Denver's "Country Roads, Take Me Home." A further throwback for a cover cannot be imagined, and this nostalgic yet sorrowful rendition of a modern-day hit silenced the audience in awe at the end of an unbelievable night. The whole point of this is: No matter what you or anybody expected going into that night, Lana's presence at Wembley Hall demonstrated she's still among the most fascinating and unpredictable artists around today.
