Ashton Allen Dewdrops
An ordinary servant with a most peculiar task
An obvious decision I was too afraid to ask
You've given me this bowl of water
Vision is much clearer when the dew is on the ground
Well just the other morning there was not a drop that I had found
I think it's time for me
To put this drop on a shelf
And keep it there forever
Right beside my former self
Now my face is on the floor and I'm asking you once more
To show me a sign so I'll know that it's divine
My bowl that is full of water
Don't let your anger burn against me, answer my request
Does she think I'm out of line here cause I've put you to the test?
Miracles they happen every day
I think it's time for me
To put this drop on a shelf
And keep it there forever
Right beside my former self
