I’ve been searching all my life
For that spark to make my world
In my dreams I see her by a stream
In dreams, the water carries her away
In dreams, on I look as the darkness falls
I think I see her, but there’s a wall
I think she whispers, come play with me
But it’s just my shadows, why can’t I see
I search to escape those walls that is me
I’ve no light to guide me here
It’s too dark to see the light that is me I
I’m searching for a way to see
A sunrise, I stand awake, and there you are
Like a sun shining warm on me
And then, a simple cloud blocks my fantasy
as it drifts far from me
Well, Don Quixote you have my sympathy
Chasing windmills is no lark
I've been slain myself once or twice
Chasing those dragons in the dark
Searching for dragons in the dark
Finding windmills in the dark
