Chin Up Rocky Maywood Militia's Got It On Lock
When I do hit the ground and my body is lying all
sprawled out.
My eyes search around to see who is all standing around
me.
I can see myself and the crowd gathers around to help.
There’s a single person in the crowd and she’s calling
out for me.
She says “Please don’t leave. I need you here.
I can’t watch you go. That’s my greatest fear.
I’ve always thought this day would come,
and now that it has I feel I‘m coming undone.”
As I wander out the door you ask what I’m fighting for,
but today I’ll stay ‘cause I’m locked up in this place
with all the thoughts and all the memories that haunted
me before today.
I just know myself. I’m all too willing to go through
hell,
just to settle an old score, I would open locked up
doors.
I would bring around, memories left underground.
I should staple my mouth closed, and let the good times
be exposed
She says “Please don’t leave. I need you here.
I can’t watch you go. That’s my greatest fear.
I’ve always thought this day would come,
and now that it has I feel I‘m coming undone.”
As I wander out the door you ask what I’m fighting for,
but today I’ll stay ‘cause I’m locked up in this place
with all the thoughts and all the memories that haunted
me before today.
Could you look me in the eyes and tell me everything’s
alright?
I guess a better question is, would I believe?
If I were to lay it all out, would you try to stick
around?
Or is the fear of losing me too much?
Bring around, memories left underground.
I should staple my mouth closed,
and let the good times be exposed
She says “Please don’t leave. I need you here.
I can’t watch you go. That’s my greatest fear.
