Chuck Schwandt Train Up A Child
When I was a little young boy
One thing I saw so very clear
That my parents loved Jesus
With a passion so dear.
They believed in Gods' Holy Word
Everything they read
Train a child in the way he should go
When he's old, he won't forget.
Now I'm growing so much older
The years have come and gone
My parents prayers have been so faithful
I sing this song to honor them.
They plowed for a harvest
And saw fruit in the seed
And watered and nurished
On bended knee.
Honor father and mother
That years on earth may be long
The first commandment with promise
A tribute to their home.
