Look
People are so blind man
Despite the year being 2020, the world was inexplicably blind to what would become of it
That's the concept of this project
People's eyes are wide shut
I was alone by myself sitting cross legged on my mattress when I thought of this concept
Thinking about why so many people give in to certain temptations such as drugs, sex, and money
The only thing these share is that they generally cause happiness
But people say money can't buy happiness and I would agree
I can make the argument that these are also the root of all eveil
They can assist your happiness but when you look back at your life, you'll realize that they only made it worse
Emotional connections strengthen whether we're talking about drugs, sex, or money
This bond is the most fragile of all
One crack of this bond could leave your life spiraling out of control
We can actually see this in our history
Human kind has evolved to the point where we can make and alter drugs in a lab to control what we think
Eventually, this will get to the point where these drugs end humanity. At least, how we know it
We will start back from square one and work our way back up
You ever heard the saying "history repeats itself"
Well what if it literally has?
What if our whole history has happened twice, but we don't know because the previous human race was wiped out because of these very same issues and started us back at square one millions of years ago
What if it's a simulation?
A glitch in the matrix?
You know the theories
What if having a seizure is actually our soul escaping from the matrix for a brief second while our body fights to stay alive while it's gone
The vast amount of knowledge gained by our soul is incomprehensible by the time it returns to our body
No wonder why nobody remembers
In fact, nobody remembers our purpose on this Earth anyway
Our goal is to reproduce so we have more time to evolve as a species, right?
But what's the point of evolving if we keep creating these irresistible temptations?
To finally be able to sustain life out in space?
To find a new home for the human race?
So what? So that we can live longer?
What's the point of the human race lasting longer?
The goal should be to make this time on Earth more enjoyable
Now this brings us back to the start
What do people turn to when they look for happiness?
Drugs, sex, and money?
Or is there something out there that gives us more?
We'll never know unless we block out these temptations and evolve so that we can actually find out
This is the root of the argument
Are we willing to put effort into finding more happiness?
Or will we settle with what we have?
The key to our existence is unknown, but the motivation to find it is unknown as well
So we become stuck in a cycle of drugs, sex, money, and the unknown
