Medusa No Such Thing
Poem on my wrist
Smudged and faded
Alice in delirium
Another one I hated
Oestrogen, testosterone and glue
Emptiness, self-doubt and now, you
Was always chasing that fleeting joy
Running from that sinking feeling
She asked “Are you for real, boy?
Or do you still think there's no such thing?”
Put to the test
Tired and jaded
Alice through the tinted glass
It was long enough I waited
“Do you still think there's no such thing?”
