Roger Harvey Full Moon
Caught our reflection in a bad way
When on walking on the lake
Wondered how much trouble it'd take
'till we stop saying it's okay
All I wanted was to love you
But it's so hard to stay awake
As we watch it like a Full Moon
From here, it only takes away
In a quest for affirmation
In the digital array
Make sure nothing's really threatened
And everything feels safe
And I know all of this means nothing
And probably nothing will remain
But if you wake up and it's lightning
Will you hold me anyway?
I hear everyone stays occupied
Until no one can relate
To all opposition is our birthright
So long as we keep it contained
Meanwhile everything is melting
At a devastating pace
So we're all meant to do something
But we've got to disengage
As we fry on entertainment
With all the critical acclaim
Modern culture is the vacuum
But are we really entertained?
And, you know, all of this means nothing
And probably nothing will remain
But if you wake up and it's lighting
Will you hold me anyway?
Will you hold me anyway?
Caught our reflection in a bad way
While on walking on the lake
Wondered how much trouble it'd take
'till we stop saying it's okay
All I wanted was to love you
But it's so hard to stay awake
As we watch it like a full moon
Form here, it only takes away....
