In dark lands
Far from here
Lays a field of ice
Stretching across the barren Earth
A field of ice
Cold, ancient
Eons have passed
Since water once flowed there
It's frozen shores
So peaceful
A faint snow
Casts a light dusting atop its surface
What mysteries lie beneath its glassy surface?
What horrors lurk within its murky depths?
What became of those who journeyed here before us?
What horrid form of death did they endure?
Only the dead will ever know
For mortals cannot enter that place
Distant and forlorn
The frozen sea
