Sophie Jamieson The End Of The Road
I ran to the end of my road
And my heart said no
My legs wanted to go past the lamppost
But my muscles couldn't move my bones
My heart took all of us down
To the side of the road
I ran to the end of my road
But I couldn't go
Turned around and walked back home
My legs were stone and my body folded
I couldn't hold it
My heart said please
Don't make me do this
I can't hold this head up high enough
To run through this
So I ran to the end my road
And my heart let go
My legs wanted to go
So I let them roam
And my muscles took my bones
Out on a journey
My blood was pumping all throughout my body
I realizеd I love all those who know me
And maybе I have something to show
Me
So I ran to the end my road
I was full of hope
I waited for my limbs to do that thing they know
But my body folded
I couldn't hold it
My heart said please
Don't make me do this
I've got nothing left to hold this head
Or even walk back home instead
