The wheel
I must turn
With the world
Does not permit me
My dream
Just the promise
Of a life
Cushioned
In meaningless possessions
And a ladder
To climb over
My fellow man
Though I've fenced off
The reality
Of waste and suffering
I hear
(beyond this sea of houses)
The horrible moans
Of all the others
Trapped like me
