There is something
Something within us
It guides us on our ways
And kills our essence
It draws simple pictures
In black and white
It knows our inner truth
And lies to us
There is something
Something between us
It severs us from life
Disturbs our balance
It left bloody traces In history
It rejects everything
That could save us
Somewhere behind
The old wall of hate
We'are locked up
To follow it straight
And if we knew
How we could break free
The question remains:
"Who are we?"
There is something
Something inside us
It causes a sense
Of separateness
We'are right
The others are wrong
The truth is on our side
