Life Lessons Arm's Length
I think too much
I stress and worry that I'm losing touch with myself and my friends
At arm's length I hold them, and it's not fair at all
All I can think about is how I would give anything to be your everything
If I could let you go, don't you think I would?
I'd go back in time if I thought I could
I'm sorry that I bothered you, but you know that I'm right and there's nothing we can do
I worry about my future
If what I'm doing is worth it
And how I know you won't be in it, you'll never be again
That path has reached its end
All I can think about is how I would give anything to be your everything
I'm just so bitter. And I'm not getting better
I cause myself to doubt the way I write you out, and it gets me nowhere
I'm gaining nothing
The one who gave you everything lost everything
And you're just fine
I need some time to recoup, shift my thoughts from you
And if I'm lucky I'll forget the things you put me through
