The 13-year old boy looks out his window
and sees his 20-year old sister out go
Stuck at home, the boy thinks, 'This blows'
and questions why he grows up so slow.
The 20-year old girl tries to drink her pain away
which is the same thing she does every single day
'If only I could be thirteen again,' she says
'If only there were no worries so I could just play.'
She sees a 35-year old lady walk into the bar
her husband on her arm, and in his mouth a cigar
'How lucky she must be, he treats her like a star,'
the girl thinks as she starts to play on her guitar.
Into the ladies' room the 35-year old goes
She fixes her makeup so her face can glow
She blinks and a tear falls down to her clothes
Then fights hard and tries to be cool and composed.
She knocks into a girl and tells her, 'Pardon me'
and thinks to herself, 'That girl seems so carefree.'
